Awkwafina is an American actress and musician. She started by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity as well as sexual orientation. She then expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was through the instrument of trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. While in her schooling, she specialized in the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She was also a student of Mandarin briefly in Beijing. After graduating, it wasn't until that she turned her attention towards music. After gaining viral fame through the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits like body positive Queef & winking home tour NYC Bitche$1. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, released in the year 2015. In addition to having a book published and a singer, she was also a professional as a singer. Alongside early TV shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
