Kristen Anne Bell, born on July 18, 1980, [1in the US, is an American actress. After beginning her acting career as a stage actress at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. After appearing in the action-thriller Spartan (2004) in 2004, she received praise for her performance in Gracie's Choice (2004). After that, she made her stage debut on Broadway as Becky thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer. Then, she was cast in the television show for teenagers, Veronica Mars (2004). The performance was praised by critics as well as a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on TV. She reprised the eponymous role in the 2014 movie and the renewal in 2019. Bell starred in the musical Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) as Mary Lane. This was an opportunity to reprise her role from her New York musical. Bell also starred in Heroes, the drama about superheroes in which she played Elle Bishop, from 2007 until 2008. Bell was the voice of her character, the main narrator of the Teen Drama Series Gossip Girl. She will reprise her role in the sequel set for 2021. Bell also played the part of Jeannie van den Hooven, who is the main female character from Showtime's comedy show House of Lies. Bell starred in the lead character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically well-reviewed NBC comedy show The Good Place, receiving an Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance. In addition, Bell portrayed the lead role in the streaming series The Woman in the House across the street from the Girl in the Window.
